ISACA Hawaii is jointly hosting a 1 hr:1 CPE event with the IIA Hawaii Chapter! Please join us for a seminar on Agile Auditing, taking place on Wednesday, February 21, from 11am to 12pm HST. We will be offering virtual (Zoom) and in-person options. However, those attending in-person will be treated to Boston's Pizza after the seminar! The event is free for ISACA members. Event Description

Is it possible to achieve some of the same benefits of agile software development by adopting an agile auditing approach? What would be the pros and cons? What would that look like in a community financial institution? Join us for an hour seminar on Agile Auditing where our speaker Ed McMurray (General Manager at CoNetrix Security) will discuss what CoNetrix has discovered when they piloted an agile auditing approach in 2023 and how it might be an option for IT audits going forward.

Speaker Bio

Ed has been working professionally with technology, information security, and cybersecurity regulations for more than 21 years. He currently serves as General Manager of CoNetrix Security, an information security and cybersecurity testing, auditing, and consulting company that serves financial institutions and companies concerned with improving their security. Leading up to this point in his career, Ed has replaced green-screen terminals with Windows 95 workstations, developed applications to increase work flow efficiencies, been an IT auditor, consulted on information security compliance efforts, and presented numerous times on technology and security.

Ed earned a B.S. in Mathematics, a M.S. in Information Systems Security, and has achieved the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). When Ed is not working with security and technology, he also enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, traveling, running, and camping.
