LastPass... Incident Briefing
Lloyd Evans, Head of Identity, LastPass APAC
LastPass is one of the global leaders in password management, a pioneer in the space, with more than 33 million customers worldwide. In August 2022, a hacker stole a copy of a customer database, and some copies of the customers' password vaults. The stolen information includes names, email addresses, billing addresses, partial credit cards and website URLs. Some of the data in the vaults was unencrypted, while other data was encrypted with users' master passwords.
This Professional Development Session explores the incident and the responses undertaken by LastPass. Lloyd Evans, Head of Identity for LastPass APAC, explains what happened and what actions they took, what data was accessed, and what they have done to secure LastPass from future attacks. He will also cover what actions customers should take to protect themselves and their businesses, and what they can expect from LastPass in this era of Digital Trust.

After spending 10 years in various roles across financial services and SaaS companies, he not only understands cyber risks but business, financial and credit risks. Lloyd is extensively covered across print and broadcast outlets on topics related to cyber security, privacy, risk, and human behaviour. In addition to speaking at RSA in 2022 he hosts the LastPass Podcast, writes for the LastPass blog.
