Presentation Summary:

Over 95% of companies use Microsoft’s Cloud Computing Platform, Azure. For example, if your company uses Microsoft Office 365 products, yours does too. Most internal audit departments have little understanding on the ways Azure affects their environment and the related security and audit risks. After this session, participants will:

-        Receive an overview of the various ways Azure could be used in your environment

-        Understand the security and audit impacts of the Microsoft’s Cloud

-        Obtain an audit ‘cheat sheet’ checklist

 

BIO

Kari Zahar is a Senior Manager with Stinnett & Associates, based in San Antonio.  She has over fourteen years of accounting and audit experience, including internal audit, external audit, IT auditing, and Sarbanes-Oxley. Kari holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Management Information Systems and a Master of Science degree in Management Science from the University of Alabama, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Sam Houston State University. She a co-author of The Hidden Risks of the Cloud article featured in the December 2019 issue of the Institute of Internal Auditor magazine
