Abstract:
We all know about Shadow IT and the risks and dangers that come with that but what about Shadow IT in the Cloud or Shadow IT on Prem?!– Sounds scary right? Now you have data in the hands of others, and NO ONE KNOWS about it which means there isn’t any GRC (Governance Risk & Compliance) around it either. How do we lock down Shadow IT worst practices and Dark Cyber while ensuring we have everything in place to avoid data loss or an imminent breach while avoiding to paralyze IT operations. Defense in Depth is good, BUT lately it seems more and more like Expense In Depth. This talk will find ways to combat the dark forces at play with more of a GRC perspective that can be replicated in any vertical, not just Financial Services or any other heavily regulated environment.
