Walk for Rice at HortPark on 5 October 2019 - Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) day

Globally across all the ISACA chapters 5 October 2019 will be celebrated as the CSR day. We, at ISACA Singapore Chapter, have partnered with NTUC FairPrice to arrange the “Walk for Rice” event.

The event will happen at HortPark on 5 October 2019 from 8 am to 12noon. For every 200 meters walked per person, NTUC FairPrice will donate two bowls of rice to the needy families staying in South-East district of Singapore. Additional one bowl of instant oatmeal for every 400 meters walk per person. 

Let’s break a sweat for a noble cause. First 50 ISACA members to sign up will receive memento T-Shirt each, so hurry up and sign up today! Families and friends of ISACA members are welcome to join us. Please come with blue T-Shirts, hats/ caps and carry enough water.

Walk route (Estimated time of walk and distance: 6km, up to 3-hrs depending on group pace) (please bring your own water bottles to stay hydrated)

HortPark -> Floral Walk -> Alexandra Arch -> Forest Walk -> Sembcorp Forest of Giants -> Henderson Waves -> The Jewel Box -> Marang Trail Exit -> Marang Trail Entrance -> HortPark

Disclaimers/ Important Notes:

  • The event may get changed/cancelled due to haze or other unforeseen conditions. In such a case, the ISACA Singapore chapter will inform the participants accordingly.
  • This event is not suitable for kids below 6 yrs old, any attendance of kids regardless of age should be at the decision & discretion of their parents and at all times taken care of by their parents. 
  • Please wear comfortable walking shoes and attire for this event. Come in blue T-shirts or wear blue hats/ caps for easy recognition to stay during the walk.
