In today’s digital world, ransomware has become a reality and a nightmare for victims of such attacks. In the first half of 2022, there were 236.1 million ransomware attacks in the world. The average ransom demand was around $7.1 million. All most all ransom threat actors are using the double extortion tactics.

Sunil has over 23 years of progressive cybersecurity experience in various industry segments across a broad range of cybersecurity functions. He has built, productized, and operated cybersecurity services such as security operations (SOC), threat intelligence, digital forensic and incident response, security architecture, consulting, risk assessment/management, security governance, compliance, and cyber strategy development/execution. He has built and managed cybersecurity operations for large organizations across Australia, Asia, and the Middle East. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information system security professional (CISSP), and holds various other security certifications. Sunil has conducted CISA review sessions for ISACA Sydney and Muscat chapters and is associated with ISACA for over 18 years. 

Sunil is working at Help AG, UAE as Director for cyber defense and held leadership positions at Ernst & Young (E&Y), DXC Technology, Computer Science Corporation (CSC), and HCL, etc.
