Topic summary:
Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) is becoming a more highly regulated, monitored and discussed area of risk management, with privacy and security being a quickly evolving aspect of this. The goal of this collaborative workshop is to level set our collective taxonomy around managing third-party risks, brainstorm with you on what is or is not working within your organizations (both public and private sectors perspectives and experience welcome). The sessions will start with a presentations that covers the principles and processes of TPRM, leading practices including results of a recent global TPRM survey, followed by interactive discussions within smaller breakout groups. These groups will allow participants to share your experiences and learn from others’ experience around designing, implementing, monitoring and reporting of third-party risks.
Workshop Facilitators: Dominic Gunning, Mark Jordan and Divya Iyengar
Facilitators Bios:
- Dominic is a professional in Deloitte’s Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) practice which focuses on third part risk advisory services. Dominic has experience in the transformation of TPRM programs at the enterprise level, supporting projects through changes to technology and processes, primarily in the financial services industry.
- Mark is a Senior Manager in Deloitte Risk Advisory within the Cyber and Strategic Risk team. Part of the Crisis and Resilience team, Mark has been in advisory services for more than a decade and has experience in business continuity management, crisis management and response and disaster recovery management. He has also spent a number of years working in complex and contentious environments helping organizations navigate uncertainty. In his current role, he helps organizations develop programs and strategies to respond to disruption and uncertainty and helps ensure they are adequately prepared to respond when required. Mark also has experience providing governance, risk management and internal control reviews as well as compliance audits. Mark is a CPA, CA and has extensive experience in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia and has experience across multiple industries.
- Divya is a Senior Manager from Victoria office of Deloitte Risk Advisory practice. She serves BC public sector with its risk, controls, compliance, and internal audit needs. Divya has served professional communities and markets in various Provinces and globally as well. She brings over 15years of industry experience back to the consulting sector, through roles within internal audit, risk management and compliance roles. Her experience supporting security oversight roles within public and private sector organizations include: IT audits, independent SOC audits, SOX and ICRF support, regulatory reviews, third-party vendor security and compliance reviews, and operational audits.
