We have confirmed the “special” chapter meeting on Monday 9 September 2019 at noon for the usual $20 charge (lunch provided). We have an opportunity to hear Doug Grindstaff from CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Institute) discuss the Cyber Maturity model and its applications. Doug will be in New Zealand from the U.S. He is also conducting a masterclass and delivering a keynote address and the Oceania CACS in Auckland later in the week.

Topic: The CMMI Cyber maturity model and its applications

Bio
E. Doug Grindstaff II is Senior Vice President of Cybersecurity Solutions at CMMI Institute.  A visionary leader and product evangelist who has held several senior executive and Board positions in the technology and biotech industries, Doug leads the commercialization and go-to-market strategy for the CMMI Cybermaturity platform.  He has previously served as CEO of NuSirt Sciences, CEO-in-Residence for Carnegie Innovations Portfolio and President of the Invisible Fence brand. Prior to that, he served as Chairman and President of Bioganic Biopesticide, where he oversaw the rapid expansion and the acquisition by a well-known consumer brands company. Grindstaff also served as an executive for a number of private and public consumer brand companies, including Kraft Foods, Inc.

Doug’s team helped to author and expand use of many recognized business and security frameworks such as the National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework, the NICE Workforce Framework, ISACA's COBIT, the CMMI Cybermaturity Platform, ISACA’s guide for implementing the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and the Baldrige Cybersecurity Excellence Builder as well as a core membership of the team to create the Cybersecurity Framework to Secure Critical Infrastructure, a publication developed by NIST and the public in response to Presidential Executive Order 13636 to provide a common language for communicating, assessing, and reporting cybersecurity risk management objectives.
