Enterprise Risk Management

What to look for when assessing the effectiveness of risk management in your organisation.

Presenter: Tamara McDonagh

Tamara is an experienced Director within the PwC Wellington Management Consulting practice. She has over 20 years' experience working in Financial Services in New Zealand and the UK, and the last 13 years in Executive Leadership roles with ANZ. Tamara's areas of expertise are in governance, complex regulatory change, conduct risk and responsible lending.

Tamara established the ANZ Conduct Risk Scholarship programme which was an innovative and inclusive L&D programme designed to upskill staff to become conduct risk champions within each geographical region. This became the cornerstone of ANZ's response to the priorities of conduct risk management. She also led the ANZ response to a number of regulatory reviews and enquiries in the UK and NZ including those from FMA, RBNZ and APRA.

Tamara has overseen the implementation of various new regulations including the first NZ AML Act and the NZ Financial Markets Act.

ISACA Session

Identity in the Light of the COVID Pandemic

Presenter: Richard Williams

Richard earned his Digital Transformation - Doctorate from Victoria University of Wellington recently and his previous experience includes Manager of Architecture and Security at NZTA and CIO at Airways New Zealand among other roles.

Richard will be presenting a case exploring the significance of identity in the light of the COVID pandemic. The presentation focuses upon the governance challenges and information sharing across organisational boundaries. This is intended as a primer for discussion among our membership to gain a shared understanding of the challenges we face as security, audit and architecture practitioners. This is particularly timely as ISACA have recently added the CDPSE Privacy certification and provides an opportunity to explore how we as a membership can: 1. contribute to finding solutions to these challenges (as the trusted security, audit, privacy and governance/design experts) and in doing so, 2. better represent the value our members can provide to organisations.

For catering purposes, please register by Tuesday 23 February.

Please note if you are unwell, or have had contact with someone who is unwell, we ask that you do not attend in person.
