Guidelines for ISACA Abuja 2025 General Election
Notice of Election:
Notice is hereby given today 22nd October, 2025 that there shall be election into the various positions of ISACA Abuja Chapter Board for the tenure starting 1st February, 2026 to 31st January, 2028.
Mode of Voting:
The election/voting shall be conducted electronically (Online).
Eligible voters will receive voting credentials in their ISACA enlisted email addresses before the commencement of voting at a specified time.
Election Situation Room Venue:
Chapter Secretariat, 5th Floor (Left Wing), NICON Plaza, Muhammad Buhari Way, CBD, Abuja.

Voters’ Eligibility:
A member of the Chapter shall be eligible to vote on the following condition:
a. If he/she is a financial member of the Association (i.e., if he/she had paid up-to-date the annual membership renewal fees) as at 7th November, 2025.
Voter Education:
Voter education/engagement activities will happen from time to time via email, telephone and at meetings before the commencement of the online voting.
Candidate/Contestant’s Eligibility:
A member shall be eligible to contest for any Chapter Office of his/her interest on the following conditions:
a. He/she must be a financial member of the Association (i.e., he/she must have paid up-to-date the annual membership renewal fees) as at 24th October, 2025.
b. Candidates seeking to serve as a principal officer (namely: President, Vice President, Secretary, Membership Director and Treasurer) must have prior volunteer and leadership experience serving on the Chapter Board.
c. He/she must complete the candidate nomination form (willingness to serve form, and conflict & disclosure statement) and submits same to the Electoral Committee via the stipulated channel on or before 31st October, 2025.
d. He/she must NOT be a student member of ISACA.
Submission of Nomination Forms:
Submission of nomination forms must be done electronically via this link: https://forms.gle/XzcgP6GtJXrEsWj48 from 24th to 31st October, 2025. The deadline for the submission is 31st October, 2025.
1st Publication of the List of Eligible Contestants:
Preliminary list of eligible contestants shall be sent to all ISACA Abuja Chapter members via an email on 4th November, 2025 for members' necessary information and comments (if any).
Final Publication of List of Eligible Contestants:
The final list of eligible contestants shall be sent to all ISACA Abuja Chapter members via email on 6th November, 2025.
Submission of Contestants’ Profiles:
Contestants are required to submit their brief profiles (containing bio data, academic/professional attainments, experience, skill and statement of role/position suitability) and passport photo. This submission should be done electronically via the link: https://forms.gle/Ker5Mg8C4AwknWpa6 The deadline for submission is 7th November, 2025. This profile will be uploaded on the election portal and will be available for voters’ view.
Publication of the List of Eligible Voters:
List of eligible voters shall be sent via email to all the ISACA Abuja Chapter members on 8th November, 2025.
Campaign Period:
Campaign period shall be from 12:00am, 8th November to 11:59pm, 15th November, 2025.
Voting Period:
10am – 4pm on Monday, 17th November, 2025
Declaration of the Election Result:
4pm – 5pm on Monday, 17th November, 2025.
Submission of the Election Report:
28th November, 2025
Special Notes:
i. No member shall contest for more than one (1) position at a time.
ii. Voting shall be through secret ballot system.
iii. Voting into all Chapter offices shall be by ballot. That is, there shall be no voice vote.
iv. Any officer who had served for two tenures in a particular office shall not be qualified to contest for the same office.
v. The official campaign platform for this election is the official chapter WhatsApp account, “ISACA Abuja Members1”
vi. Both electorates and contestants are encouraged to familiarise themselves with relevant sections of the Chapter bylaw.
vii. Use of vulgar words by contestants during campaign and in the course of the election may lead to disqualification of the affected candidate.
viii. All parties to this electoral process are bound by relevant Nigeria criminal and civil laws, ISACA codes of professional ethics and the chapter byelaws. Please be guided accordingly in all your conducts.
