Associated with  Baton Rouge Chapter

The Baton Rouge Chapter of ISACA® takes pleasure in providing opportunities for its members and guests to advance their careers and knowledge through the many educational and networking events it hosts. The Chapter is operated by an entirely volunteer staff comprised of members that have enjoyed the programs and services and have chosen to give something back to the profession and our community. Each year, in compliance with our Chapter's by-laws, the Nominating Committee holds open nominations for the Chapter's members to post nominations for the Board of Directors of the upcoming year.

You may nominate someone or yourself.

Positions open for nomination:

  • President
  • Certification Director
  • Communications Director
  • Marketing Director
  • Sponsorship Director
  • Academic Relations Director
  • Programs Director

All nominations must be received by March 20, 2024. The Officer Nominations Committee will review the candidate submissions and identify acceptable candidates to include on the nomination ballot.

Members serving on the board are eligible to receive 20 hours of CPE.

Nomination Eligibility

All current members of the ISACA Baton Rouge Chapter are eligible to be nominated. The preference is to have candidates that exhibit prior Chapter Board or non-profit organization experience. Candidates must also be willing to commit to the time needed to serve as a member of the board. All board members must be committed to volunteering the amount of time needed.

Nomination Process

Once nominated, a brief bio and concise description of the candidate’s interest and experience in non-profit organizations similar to the ISACA BR Chapter is also required. There will also be a confirmation that the candidate will be able to commit to the time needed to fulfill the duties of the Officer position. It is important the nomination form be complete, descriptive, and concise, as this will be the information used by the Nominating Committee to determine whether the candidate is acceptable.

Officer Duties

Article V of the chapter bylaws describes the duties of the elected Chapter Officer positions. A summary of Board of Director responsibilities may also be found in the chapter bylaws. All volunteers with the Baton Rouge Chapter must be willing to sign a Conflict of Interest/Non-Disclosure Agreement and a Willingness to Serve statement.
