Gamifying Cybersecurity Awareness: Exploring How Experiential Learning Influences IT Governance Leaders’ Engagement and Risk Decision-Making in the Financial Sector

We are very excited to have Dr. Lovelie Moore share her doctoral research work on the use of gamification within cybersecurity awareness training to improve resiliency.

This will be a virtual event. Be sure to register and mark it on your calendar!

Abstract

Cybersecurity awareness training remains a critical yet persistent challenge within highly regulated industries, particularly the financial sector, where traditional compliance-based training often fails to meaningfully influence behavior or decision-making at the leadership level. Dr. Lovelie's qualitative study explored how gamified cybersecurity awareness approaches influence engagement, learning retention, and risk perception among IT governance leaders in financial institutions.
