Message from the Chapter President

Dear Members,

Congratulations on the occasion of the chapter celebrating the 20th Anniversary.

Heraclitus, the Greek philosopher said, “The Only Thing That Is Constant Is Change.” ISACA Muscat, a chapter of 300 distinguished professionals took no time to adapt to the change, and today we are commemorating the 20th anniversary of the chapter through virtual mode.
We believe the success of the chapter is the result of cumulative efforts and contributions of the past board members and chapter members over the last two decades. We thank all of them for laying the strong foundation and paving the way for us to advance the chapter activities and performance further.
College of Banking and Financial Studies under whose sponsorship the chapter functions deserve a special mention, and we express our sincere gratitude for their long term continued support since the inception of the chapter.
During these 20 years of successful journey, we also received support from our corporate sponsors as regular support and other sponsors for major programs and support from the faculties and other organizations for conducting the refresher classes free of cost.
We are also proud of the chapter’s achievements. Chapter has won the K Wayne Snipes award for Best Medium Chapter in Asia seven times and Best Medium Chapter award in the world once.
In spite of the prevailing tough economic conditions and associated challenges the membership has crossed the 300 mark and the chapter continues to demonstrate its strong presence in Oman. Thanks to all the members for the continued support to the chapter.
The chapter was also able to record the maximum number of CPE programs during 2020 and with the increased participation by the members. For the first time the chapter associated with nine regional chapters to conduct a virtual conference.  Muscat Chapter also extended its full support to SheLeadsTech Program and community day program initiated by ISACA and conducted various activities and programs. We also expanded our reach to various stakeholders and started the CXO Conclave series, regular interactive meetings with government departments, and the academic community.  Furthermore, the chapter is credited with SEVEN Accredited trainers for the certification refresher classes, which is the highest among the ISACA chapters.
The board will focus on its effort to bring the best possible service to the members and will try to address the expectations of the other stakeholders. We seek the continued support and cooperation of the members and all the stakeholders for further growth and progress of the chapter.

Best Wishes,

Biju Joseph Padanilam
