This seminar shows the use of Software Defined Radios (SDR), their applications for Cybersecurity professionals, and introduces concepts and terminology used for Radio Frequency (RF) application. You will learn about how SDRs are different from older radios, how they can be used to assess security, the relationships between frequency and distance covered, bandwidth and data, and how to integrate a solution for finding RF vulnerabilities.
Professor Rick Hansen, CISSP is a Cybersecurity Professor at Capitol Technology University. He researches vulnerabilities and use of Radio Frequency (RF), IoT, and new technologies. Professor Hansen is currently researching the use of Wifi to provide high-speed communications to balloons and drones at distances of 50km.
