Presenter: William Li, JD, CISSP

Join us for an in person ISACA Puget Sound Chapter joint meeting with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) local chapter luncheon at the Columbia Tower Club. Lunch is included. Check in starts at 11:15am. The presentation will start at 11:30AM. CPE will be for 1.5 hours

Event Details: The Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) Notice of Proposed Rulemaking under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) is indicative of the continuing trend of increasingly stringent regulatory expectations in the realms of Information Security and Privacy.

Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how these developments, while incremental, may require a more dramatic shift in mindset for organizations to strategically and ethically adapt. The presentation aims to equip ISACA members with actionable insights to align their information security approaches with these emerging regulations. It will underscore the importance of staying ahead in a landscape where compliance, trust, and ethical considerations are not just regulatory mandates but essential elements of organizational resilience and success.
