Udochi Nwobodo, Lead Security Engineer, Mastercard, will be speaking upon traditional compliance programs are built for periodic audits, static systems, and human attestation. In a cloud-native world, where infrastructure changes by the minute, those models can’t keep up. This session explores how automation is transforming compliance from a point-in-time checklist into a continuous, verifiable process. Drawing on real examples from cloud and containerized environments, we’ll look at how infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, and event-driven monitoring can continuously enforce and test security controls. We’ll examine practical design patterns that connect compliance frameworks (like SOC 2, NIST 800-53, and PCI-DSS) to real technical evidence sources—Terraform plans, Kubernetes manifests, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud APIs—without requiring manual validation. Attendees will leave with a roadmap for implementing Continuous Compliance Automation in their organizations: how to start small, align automation with existing GRC frameworks, and evolve from reactive audit preparation to proactive, always-on assurance.
