On behalf of the ISACA Rwanda Chapter Board, I welcome you to our chapter site!
ISACA (previously known as the Information Systems Audit and Control Association) is a worldwide association of IS governance professionals.
Brief History
ISACA Rwanda Chapter was approved by ISACA HQ in February 2020.Currently the chapter has more than 50 active members and more than 40 other potential members in an informal WhatsApp group.
The association currently focuses on assurance, security, and governance and provides globally recognized certifications in assurance (Certified Information Systems Auditor- CISA), security (Certified Information Security Manager-CISM and Cybersecurity Nexus – CSX), risk (Certified in Risk and Information System Control - CRISC) and governance (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT- CGEIT).
Goals & Objectives
The aim of our Chapter is to promote and elevate the visibility of the IT audit, risk, governance, control and security throughout Rwanda. This will be done through the following:
- To promote the education of, and help expand the knowledge and skills of Rwanda ISACA members in the fields of IT governance, IS audit, security, governance, control and assurance.
- To encourage an open exchange of IT governance, IS audit, security, control, and assurance techniques, approaches, and problem solving.
- To promote adequate communication to keep members abreast of current events in IT governance, IS audit, security, governance, control and assurance that can be of benefit to them and their employers and Rwanda as a whole.
- To communicate to management, auditors, universities, and to IS professionals the importance of establishing controls necessary to ensure proper IT governance and the effective organization and utilization of IT resources.
- To promote the Association’s professional certifications in Rwanda
- To encourage networking with other professionals in related professional areas; and
- To help members improve on various skills including researching, presentations and teamwork.
To achieve the above, we rely on the participation of all our Chapter Members. If you are not yet a member we encourage you to join ISACA Rwanda Chapter. Members will have access to various resources that enhance their skills, expand their professional knowledge and connect them with a vibrant community of peers.
