Join us at the Volta Serene Hotel, Ho for the 6th IT Audit, Cyber Security & Risk Conference scheduled for Thursday, 18th June & Friday, 19th June 2026 from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Presenting on the day with other seasoned conference speakers is Wilfred Neneh Addico, Advisory Partner, Makers and Partners.

Neneh's topic for the conference is "Stakeholder Management for IT and Systems Auditors".

Effective stakeholder management has become a critical success factor in the conduct of IT and systems audits, particularly within Ghanaโ€™s increasingly digitalized and highly regulated business environment. Technical competence alone is no longer sufficient for successful audit execution. IT auditors must also possess the ability to engage stakeholders strategically, manage expectations, communicate complex technical issues in business language, and navigate organizational sensitivities without compromising audit independence.

This presentation explores practical stakeholder engagement approaches tailored for IT and systems auditors operating within Ghanaian public institutions, financial institutions, telecom companies, fintechs, and large private sector organizations. Drawing from real audit experiences and governance challenges, the session will address key areas such as stakeholder identification and mapping, understanding operational and reputational concerns, communication planning, handling resistance during audits, escalation management, negotiation of remediation actions, and effective reporting of audit findings.

The session will further demonstrate how poor stakeholder engagement can delay audit activities, restrict access to information, create resistance to findings, and ultimately weaken audit impact even where technical audit work is sound. Particular attention will be given to managing engagements involving CIOs, CISOs, IT operations teams, vendors, and executive management within complex governance structures common in Ghanaian organizations.

The presentation is designed to provide IT auditors with practical, actionable techniques to improve cooperation, strengthen audit effectiveness, enhance acceptance of audit findings, and support successful implementation of corrective actions. It aligns with global audit and governance best practices while remaining practical and relevant to the realities of IT audit execution in Ghana.

Presenting on the day with other seasoned conference speakers is Prince Adu,CISA, CRISC, Cybersecurity Professional. Membership Chair, ISACA Accra Chapter.

Prince's topic for the conference is "The Identity Collapse. Why Ghanaโ€™s Next Major Breach Will Begin with a Login, not a Hack."

Prince Adu CCSP, CISA, CRISC, SWIFT CSP Assessor is a Cybersecurity Professional with over 10 years working experience in Finance, Telecoms and Consulting Industry. A co-founder of Novvel AI Ltd and serves on the board of the ISACA Ghana Chapter as Membership Chair. His practice spans Cybersecurity consulting, vulnerability assessment, GRC, SOC operations, and AI security strategy across Ghanaian and African market contexts.

He brings both practitioner experience and a governance professional's strategic lens, bridging global threat intelligence with the regulatory and organisational responses that matter to Ghanaian audiences.

In 2026, attackers are no longer breaking into systems โ€” they are logging in. Identity compromise has overtaken technical exploitation as the leading initial access technique globally, and Ghana's GHC 570 billion mobile money ecosystem, Ghana Card-anchored digital identity, and expanding fintech APIs make this market uniquely exposed.

This keynote brings the global threat home, introduces a Ghana-specific four-vector identity attack surface, and uses an immersive live-decision format, "The Breach Room", to test how organisations would actually respond.

Presenting on the day with other seasoned conference speakers is Carl Sackey, CGEIT, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CDPSE
Past President, ISACA Accra Chapter; Lead Consultant, CS Consulting & Services Ltd, Accra, Ghana.

Carl's topic for the conference is "Sovereign AI and the Global South: Concentration Risk, Resilience, and the Governance of Borrowed Intelligence".

    SESSION ABSTRACT
The era of artificial intelligence is being constructed upon a hierarchical stackโ€”comprising chips, computation, data, models, talent, and capitalโ€”that is concentrated among a limited number of nations and corporations. For institutions across Africa and the broader Global South, this situation prompts a question that many AI strategies tend to overlook quietly: when your models, computational resources, and data processing capabilities are located beyond your borders and outside your control, whose strategy are you ultimately implementing?

This session redefines โ€œsovereign AIโ€ away from political rhetoric and towards the pragmatic concerns of security, governance, and audit professionals. It maps the actual dependency chain supporting the AI capabilities of typical African institutions, reveals the concentration and operational-resilience risks embedded within it, and confronts the challenging economics of digital extractivism โ€” where local data is used to train models that are subsequently rented back.

The discussion examines the genuine trade-offs involved in data localisation, the national and regional regulatory environmentโ€”including the African Unionโ€™s Continental AI Strategy and national data protection regimesโ€”and the alternative approach of leapfrogging and governance-focused adoption.
Participants will depart equipped to consider AI dependency as a board-level and national security issue, focusing on resilience and concentration risks associated with third-party dependencies, enabling them to advise leadership appropriately.

Beatrice's topic for the conference is "Burnout, Boundaries & Balance: The Real Talk on Work-Life Sustainability in Cybersecurity". "Cybersecurity has a mental health crisis hiding in plain sight.
