Our March meeting was a great success. We had two fantastic topics. Our first was Navigating Cyber Insurance – Crucial Considerations given by Patrick Ergastolo and Brendan Jaquay from Gallager. Our second speaker joined us from Yazaki. Janette Barretto offered a great perspective on the Essential Leadership Characteristics. Thank you to all of our speakers for taking the time to present to the chapter.

We had a great turnout in person and were able to offer some awesome prizes and social networking event. We had the opportunity to give some great prizes to those that were in-person and have three or more ISACA certifications. Congratulations to all of those individuals for investing in themselves and supporting the ISACA certifications.

Our Seminar committee has finalized the Spring Seminar. It will be a two-day training with Toby Groves on:

  • Day 1: Advanced Threats: Mastering the Complex Dynamics of Modern Cybersecurity
  • Day 2: Data Science and AI for Non-Data Scientists

Slots are filling fast and we only have 72 seats so register today.

Our Certification committee has also launched it 2024 CISA Review Course. It will be held on three Saturdays in May. It is a great price and allows you to interact with others taking the exam. Our great instructor, Santo Iannucci, will lead you through the preparation for the exam.

Save-the-Date: Please mark your calendars for out 50 th anniversary event that will be on October 16, 2-24. It will again be a the Henry Ford, Lovett Hall. We look forward to seeing many of you including all of our past presidents.

Are you in need of CPEs? Did you know that when you volunteer to assist the ISACA Detroit Chapter you could receive up to 20 CPE credits annually for active participation? If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please reach out to us at isaca.detroit.chapter@gmail.com. We are looking to engage members to develop our chapter and meet new people.

We also hope that you will take advantage of the polling questions we are posting monthly. They help us obtain your feedback to make the chapter stronger. These are located on our website.
