ISACA CommunITy Day Recap
On Saturday, October 5, 2024, the ISACA Detroit Chapter came together for CommunITy Day, a global initiative that empowers members to give back and make a meaningful difference in their local communities. This year, we partnered with Vets Returning Home in Roseville, Michigan, to support a cause close to our hearts.
The event brought ISACA members, staff, families, and friends together to lend a helping hand to veterans transitioning back to civilian life. Volunteers worked on a variety of impactful tasks, including organizing supplies, assisting with facility upkeep, and providing a welcoming environment for veterans in need. The energy and enthusiasm of all participants were truly inspiring.
A special thank you goes out to everyone who registered early and proudly wore the custom CommunITy Day T-shirts provided by ISACA. These shirts symbolized the unity and dedication of our group, emphasizing the positive potential we can unleash when we work together.
The partnership with Vets Returning Home underscores the essence of CommunITy Day — creating a tangible impact while fostering a sense of purpose and camaraderie among ISACA members. Our volunteers dedicated their time and effort to ensure that the facility was better equipped to support the veterans who rely on its services.
As the day came to a close, the collective efforts of our group left a lasting impression on both the volunteers and the organization we served. Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and contributed to the success of this year's CommunITy Day. Together, we proved that even a few hours of focused effort can bring about meaningful change.
We look forward to seeing even more members and friends join us next year for another opportunity to give back and strengthen our local community. Together, we can continue to enable the positive potential of people and make a difference in the world.
