FEB Monthly Meeting Recap

February Event Highlights and Recap

The event was held at the Italian American Banquet & Conference Center in Livonia, MI, and was also available via Zoom. It aimed to provide attendees with the opportunity to network and gain insights into the challenges and governance of artificial intelligence (AI).

The first session, led by Steven Aiello, a vCISO at Ahead, discussed "Navigating the Security Challenges of AI." Aiello highlighted the transformative potential of AI, akin to the historical impact of electricity, and explored AI-generated capabilities like self-driving cars. He emphasized the importance of understanding AI, ensuring data integrity, and the operational processes to mitigate associated risks.

Following a networking dinner, the second session, presented by Jennifer Village and Anthony Burman from PwC, focused on "Risks & Governance Considerations for the Safe and Effective Use of Generative AI." They covered the fundamentals of risk and governance models specific to Generative AI, including use case archetypes, recent legislation, and a Responsible AI Governance Framework. The session aimed to equip participants with the knowledge to apply these concepts to their organizations and enhance their AI control and governance structures.

The event also featured a networking activity that allowed participants to connect in an interactive setting, enhancing the learning experience.
