Mr. Md Jahangir Alam is the MD and CEO of QA Pro Limited, Bangladesh. He is the Chair of the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Bangladesh Chapter & the Director of CISA - ISACA Dhaka Chapter Board, Bangladesh. He is an offensive security expert, information systems auditor, payment card industry data security assessor, blockchain professional, and professional trainer. He is a part-time Adjunct Faculty of the Software Engineering Department of Daffodil International University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, and an Instructor at Cyber-Range, Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Mr. Alam has extensive experience and knowledge of global information technology diversification, cyber security risks and issues, software development, and blockchain technologies. He has a comprehensive and unique understanding of the fundamental issues in eCommerce and internet-facing web applications, banking and payment applications, payment processors, payment gateways, payment networks, and cloud platforms. He has a significant record of success in software development, information security governance, risk assessment, vulnerability assessment & penetration testing, IT / IS audit, ISO 27001 ISMS gap assessment, and PCI DSS gap assessment. In addition, he is an expert in creating manageable, enforceable policies, how the end-user accesses the resources available over the internet, the development of information security policy, and the development of the business continuity policy (BCP).
Mr. Alam is an OffSec Certified Professional (OSCP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Payment Card Industry Qualified Security Assessor (PCI QSA), Certified Blockchain Professional (CBP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), ISO 27001 LA & LI, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) Professional. He is also a well-renowned trainer for the last 10+ years. He is a CSE graduate from a Public University in Bangladesh. He completed several online certification courses on software security, cryptography, blockchain technology, anti-money laundering, cyber security, IT risk management, ICT governance, and management.
Mr. Alam worked as the Chief Operating Officer, Head of IT Security and Compliance, Head of the IT Audit & Monitoring Department, Information Security Officer, and Information Technology Officer at different private commercial Banks in Bangladesh. He also worked as a freelance software development project manager for BizWebShop, Inc., USA, from 2011 to 2018, leading more than 30 programmers.
