Kampala Chapter is one of the of ISACA (formerly the Information Systems Audit and Control Association) chapters, an international body that has been in existence since 1969. ISACA Kampala Chapter, the first in the Uganda, Kampala, was established on the 16th May 2008 and officially launched in July, 2010.
The Founding President was Mr. Steven Turyahikayo, CISA, along with Mr. Sam Kabayo and Mrs. Keto N. Kayemba. Since then the Chapter has been led by five different presidents at an interval of 2 years term in office.
Kampala Chapter has over 350 active members drawn from diverse interdisciplinary fields across different organizations in Uganda (Both Private and Public)
Over the years, the Chapter has held the East Africa Information Security Conference on an annual basis, in addition to monthly workshops for Continuous Professional Development. It has partnered with institutions such as NITA, AH Consulting, Bank of Uganda, among others, to sponsor and deliver different events.
The Chapter has also held Exam Preparation classes for CISA and CISM candidates, enabling hundreds of participants to pass their exams and achieve certification.

With information and its related systems more critical than ever before, the role of individuals able to capitalize and leverage on new technological advances to ensure the generation of secure, reliable data becomes even more important.
