ISACA Malaysia Chapter is organizing a Half Day Members event for IT, Risk and Security professionals to develop better understanding of the Cyber Threat Landscape. Regardless of your working experience, this session will help you to become more aware of the evolving cyber threats and techniques employed by the threat actor groups.
In this talk, the speakers will provide insights from their experience and will help members to:
- Gain a better understanding of the global threat landscape, including the cybercrime economy
- Better appreciation of the motivations and techniques of major threat actor groups, and how it affects organisation’s risk profile
- Navigate how to conduct a “threat-focused” cyber audit and risk assessment.
The speakers Alex Cheng and Cathryne Teh are both Cyber and IT Risk professionals with extensive experience and skillsets in these areas.
Alex is a Director leading the Cyber Threat Operations practice in PwC Malaysia, which is responsible for the development, management and execution of a portfolio of red and blue team services to the local and regional clients at the Asia Pacific level. Alex has in-depth experience in providing offensive security testing and enhancing clients' cyber detection and response capabilities.
Cathryne is an Associate Director leading the Cyber Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) and the Cloud Trust practice in PwC Malaysia, specializing in technology risk assessment, IT security and controls audit and regulatory compliance assessment. She has more than 10 years experience assisting clients in assessing strengths of their cybersecurity and technology processes and controls, adherence to best practices and regulatory guidelines and providing strategic advice to the 2nd and 3rd line of defenses in managing cyber and technology risks.
