Wayne Snipes award was established in 1989 and recognizes ISACA chapters that meet or exceed service goals by actively supporting local membership and, thus, ISACA. The award is ISACA’s way of recognizing chapters that continually go above and beyond to provide excellent service and guidance. Chapters are selected by a group of peer leaders from chapters around the world, specifically the Chapter Support Committee, with help from the International staff.

Wayne Snipes Best Medium Chapter Award which has recently been given to the ISACA Malta Chapter is a very important achievement that can be construed to be a seal of approval for the hard work and positive energy volunteered by all of the ISACA Malta Chapter board of directors during the 2017/2018 term. The new board is looking towards the future and is eager to continue consolidating the results achieved thus far. In this regard, throughout 2019, the Chapter will host a number of educational events, a CRISC training session and will aspire to organise a conference by mid-2019. The Chapter aims to continue providing an excellent service to the local community, especially in the context of the vibrant and dynamic economy that is becoming ever more focused on IT related industries such as online gaming and fintech thereby providing an opportunistic space for the Chapter to flourish.
