Speaker Bio: Caleb Chitwood, AVP, CyberSecurity Operations, HCA Healthcare
Caleb Chitwood is the AVP of Cybersecurity Operations for HCA Healthcare. Caleb has over 20 years of experience in technical roles, starting as a mechanical engineer for a large research and development company and growing his skills to be a talented leader of Cybersecurity teams.
He has been with HCA since 2014. He was initially hired as a Senior Project Manager focused on Information Security projects. In 2017, he was hired as the 24x7 Cyber Defense Center’s first manager and was a key contributor to its inception, initial buildout, and operations. In 2021, Caleb moved to a leadership role with HCA’s Threat Intelligence Services team. While working with the Threat Intelligence Services team, Caleb helped develop new processes to integrate threat intelligence into key functions within Cybersecurity Operations as well as Information Protection and Security and HCA’s Information Technology Group. He established numerous strategic working relationships within HCA as well as the cybersecurity industry with industry leading organizations. He now leads the Cybersecurity Operations organization that is responsible for detecting and responding to cyber threats within the HCA Healthcare enterprise.
Caleb holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity. He is a graduate of the Nashville Technology Council’s ELITE leadership program and the Emerging Leaders program at HCA Healthcare. He is an active participant in the Cybersecurity and Cyber Threat Intelligence communities and serves as a co-chair for the Healthcare-ISACs Cyber Threat Intelligence Program Development Working Group. He also serves as a member of Cloud Range Cyber and Proofpoint Customer Advisory Boards.
