CISA Exam Review Course

The CISA review course will provide practical advice on preparing for the CISA exam and specific instruction regarding the domains addressed by CISA as defined by ISACA® Global. The format is structured as a review of the task and knowledge requirements for each CISA domain, including test questions with a discussion on the ‘correct’ answer to each question. Time is also allocated for examining the structure of a CISA question and discussing a generic approach to help identify the appropriate answer. ISACA materials will be used throughout this course, augmented with examples and scenarios chosen by the instructor. The primary resources will be the ISACA publications CISA Exam Manual 27th edition and the CISA Review Questions, Answers & Explanations 12th edition. Additionally, this course will be administered entirely over Zoom.

Training participants can earn up to 32 CPE in Information Technology field of study.

Included Materials: Included in the cost of this course is a digital copy of the CISA Exam Manual 27th edition. ($110 value for ISACA members, $140 value for non-members). The manual will be distributed by April 7th.

The Middle Tennessee Chapter of ISACA is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.NASBARegistry.org.

Who should attend: Those who wish to supplement their preparation for the CISA exam with a live group study environment.

Refunds and Cancellations: Cancellations will be refunded less a 8% processing fee and the cost of the manual (if already purchased). Cancellations must be made via email to Roger Brotz at certification@isacanashville.org by the close of business March 31, 2023. Cancellation requests received after March 31 will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Don is a business-focused Chief Information Security Officer and Security Technologist with 20+ years of experience in enterprise technology, with over 10 of those years in information security. He is highly skilled in the planning and development of information cybersecurity strategy and best practices in support of the information technology architecture. Don serves as a subject matter expert to the Board of Directors and Executive Management on information security topics in the financial services, banking, insurance, and healthcare industries. In his current role as Chief Information Security Officer at Germantown Technologies, Don oversees Information Security, Privacy, and IT Risk & Compliance, prioritizing investments that strengthen defenses, achieve compliance, increase cybersecurity maturity, and reduce risk.

Don earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Governors University and several industry certifications including EC-Council Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO), ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), ISACA Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE), as well as a handful of Microsoft and CompTIA certs. Don is also an accredited trainer with APMG International for the CISA Certification and CSX Fundamentals Certificate programs.

Don is actively involved in the information security community and currently serves on the board of Middle TN ISACA and ISSA chapters.

At home he focuses on his most important role as husband to his wife Kimberly and Dad to his three girls (and two dogs).
