This is a one-day seminar, combining lecture with a hands-on, case-study based workshop that introduces I.T. Auditors and Information Security Professionals to methods for ensuring that Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Resilience programs meet their objectives. It is based on the latest trends in BCM (e.g., WFH, cloud recovery, cybercrime resilience). It includes standards, methodology, and audit and review techniques for both business and Information Technology resilience and recoverability.

Steven Ross, Executive Principal, Risk Masters International

Steven Ross is the Executive Principal of Risk Masters International and holds certification as a Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) and an Associate Fellow of the Business Continuity Institute (AFBCI). Mr. Ross has more than 35 years of experience with Business Continuity Management and IT Disaster Recovery Planning. He has developed Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans, designed resilient data centers and implemented resilience preparations for numerous banks, government agencies and industrial corporations. Prior to founding Risk Masters, Steve was with Deloitte & Touche as the leader of their Business Continuity Management practice. In recent years, his focus has been on the resilience and recoverability of large corporate business and technology environments with particular interests in establishing resilience architecture, testing the effectiveness of Disaster Recovery Plans and building resilience programs within IT departments. He is editor of the multi-volume series, e-Commerce Security, and author of several of the books in the series, including e-Commerce Security: Business Continuity Planning. His book, Creating a Culture of Security, was published in 2011. He has authored the “Information Security Matters” column in the ISACA Journal since 1998.
