Chapter Leadership Roles

Officer & Board Positions

  • President
    • Responsible for overall functioning of the Chapter
  • President Elect
    • Responsible for supporting the President in their goals, and other activities such as facilitating the monthly board meeting, primary planner for large chapter fall and spring meetings.
  • Secretary
    • Responsible for maintaining the Chapter records. 
  • Treasurer
    • Responsible for maintaining the financial records of the Chapter.
  • Chief Administrative Officer
    • Responsible for the success and timely completion of administrative requirements, including activities such as execution against annual goals, review ISACA communications, compliance with reporting requirements.

Vice President Positions:

  • Academic Relations
    • Responsible as the liaison to local colleges and universities. This individual also makes recommendations regarding sponsorship of college activities and may represent the chapter on committees for joint events. 
  • Audit
    • Responsible for auditing the accounts and financial records of the chapter in accordance with sound accounting practices. This person/group also reviews the results of the independent/third-party audit with the chapter treasurer, submits a written report of the audit results to the chapter board, and presents results of the audit at a chapter meeting. 
  • Certifications
    • Responsible for being the source of promotion and information on ISACA’s certification programs for the members of the chapter and for others from the local area, who are interested in ISACA's certifications. This individual(s) must be knowledgeable about ISACA's certifications, so he/she can answer questions or refer people to the proper source.
  • CyberSecurity
    • Responsible for receiving information and updates from ISACA International on cybersecurity-related developments, including but not limited to: research deliverables, training and education, the CSX certificate program and related future developments. 
  •  Education
    • Responsible for coordinating the shorter educational programs held in conjunction with chapter meetings.  
  • Marketing & Communications
    • Responsible for notifying members of upcoming chapter events, oversees involvement with sponsorship of third-party events and determines the appropriate avenues for chapter communications (e.g., website, newsletter, social media, email). 
  • Membership
    • Responsible for assisting the chapter board in chapter activities and efforts to ensure professional and personal growth for the membership, as well as chapter sustainability. 
  • Programs
    • Responsible for coordinating longer (half-day or more) or multi-track educational seminars/workshops.  
  • Research
    • Responsible for serving as the chapter’s subject matter expert (SME) for disseminating knowledge about ISACA research and publications, and as the primary contact for developing chapter-led research projects, should the chapter choose to undertake such. 
  • Rising Professional
    • Responsible for engaging the ever- and rapidly growing rising professionals community. This position can assist with diverse programming, planning topics relevant to this group, and fostering better relationships among rising professional chapter members. 
  • We In Tech/She Leads Tech
    • Responsible for serving as the liaison between the chapter board and members, and One In Tech, an ISACA Foundation (OIT). This individual helps promote SheLeadsTech events carried out by One In Tech and leads the charge for chapter-based SheLeadsTech events. 
  • Technology
    • Responsible for administration of the ISACA Engage web platform, and other chapter technology software/applications used for chapter or board functions.
