Current Threats and Risks Facing NJ Businesses, Preventative Measures, and Mitigations

This 90 minute presentation will review current prevalent cyber risks and threats impacting both large and small organizations. We will also review observed tactics, techniques, and procedures associated with these cyberattacks, an overview of common ransomware variants targeting the industry, and finish with best practices and mitigations to limit risks. The presentation will be concluded following a Q&A session.

The presentation will be provided by the New Jersey Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Cell (NJCCIC). Acting in a cyber fusion center capacity, the NJCCIC is a component organization within the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness. The presentation will be provided by Thereasa Barker-Figueroa, a cyber threat intelligence analyst with the NJCCIC.
