The world of technology is moving at an unprecedented pace. Consequently, the ability for technologists to be trusted advisors, not just skilled problem solvers, has become even more pervasive and indeed critical. Enter the trust equation, a framework first brought to light in 2001 in the book The Trusted Advisor. The trust equation focuses on four essential variables of trustworthiness: credibility, reliability, intimacy, and (low) self-orientation. While the importance of working all four variables is not unique to gender, this session will illustrate how women in tech can excel by leveraging your natural strengths while mitigating common obstacles.
If interested in an interactive session to learn more about building trust as a woman in technology, then this session is for you!
