Dear Utah Chapter Members,
We hope this message finds you well. As we approach the new year, it is our pleasure to extend an invitation to you for the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the ISACA Utah Chapter.
Date: Thursday, January 18th, 2024
Time: 12:00 – 1:00 PM, additionally, guests are invited arrive 30 minutes prior and/or stay 30 minutes after the meeting to network.

Lunch Catering: We are excited to announce that lunch will be catered from Kneaders for all members in attendance. It's an excellent opportunity to network with fellow members and enjoy a delightful meal together. Please sign up so we can get an accurate head count.
Leadership Changes:
We would like to thank Mary Huth, the former president, for her service for the Chapter. Mary recently resigned at the start of December, after serving as the President of the Chapter for 3 years. Prior to Mary’s position as the President, she served as the Membership Director for 4 years. Thank you, Mary for all your wonderful service!
New President
With Mary’s resignation, Skylar Combe, the former Vice President, has assumed the position. Prior to being appointed as the President of the Chapter, Skylar served as the Vice President since February of 2023 and before that time as the Secretary since February 2022. Skylar has a master’s in accounting and graduate certificate in Information Systems and works as an IT Audit Manager for Tanner LLC. Additionally, Skylar holds the CISA, CCSFP, and CHQP certifications.
New Vice-President
With Skylar’s new position, the Board nominated Ignatius (Iggy) Ravi, to the position of Vice-President. Prior to being appointed the as the Vice-President of the Chapter, Iggy served as the Education/Program Chair for the Chapter since February 2023. Iggy has a master’s in information technology and works as a Senior IT Auditor for Amazon. Additionally, Iggy holds the CISA certification.
Open Positions: During the AGM, we will be addressing the appointment of two critical positions within our chapter: Education Chair and Program Chair. The detailed position descriptions for each Role are attached to an email from Chapter Communications on 12/19/2023. Both positions carry a 2-year term before reelection and offer 20 hours of CPE for your dedicated service. If you wish to be considered for either position or would like to nominate someone, please complete this Microsoft form. We ask that you complete this form by January 11th, so we can notify the Chapter of potential candidates.
Meeting Location Information: To facilitate a smooth entry to the Tanner LLC office, please note the multiple entrance options via elevators. You will proceed to the 5th floor from any of these locations:
- City Creek Food Court:
- Enter the elevator located between the Subway/Playground area.
- Take the elevator to floor 5.
- City Creek Parking Garage – P1 and P2 (Far East Elevators):
- Use the far East elevators below the Key Bank tower in the City Creek parking garage. There will be a ramp from the public parking area to a private parking area, where the elevators are located.
- Head to floor 5.
- Key Bank Tower (West Elevators):
- Check in with Security at the Key Bank tower and they will escort you the West elevators.
We encourage your attendance at the AGM, as your insights and contributions are vital to the success of our chapter. Your engagement is crucial as we discuss the future direction of our organization and elect new leaders to guide us forward.
