26–27 November 2026 | Wellington & Online
Meet the speakers joining us for the ISACA Wellington Education Days 2026 – From Risk to Resilience.
Over two days, practitioners and experts from across cyber security, risk, audit, governance and technology will share practical experiences, lessons learned and ideas that help organisations move from managing risk to building greater resilience.
We’ll be announcing speakers and sessions progressively as the programme develops, so check back regularly for the latest additions.
Speaker, Results Coach and Author of The Resilience Code
Julius Charles Serrano is a Wellington-based speaker, results coach and author of The Resilience Code. Totally blind and originally from the Philippines, Julius built a career in IT specialising in digital accessibility before transitioning into speaking and coaching.
He has seen adaptability become one of the qualities that separates technical teams that hold up under pressure from those that struggle — often as much as technical capability itself.
Julius will explore the human side of resilience, including adaptability, burnout, retention and psychological readiness.
His session looks at the gap between having the right protocols, processes and technical controls in place and having people who are able to respond effectively when pressure is high.
Offensive Security Specialist
Olly Hooper is an offensive security specialist with over seven years’ experience across penetration testing, red teaming and purple teaming.
His work focuses on understanding how organisations are compromised in practice and how security teams can turn those lessons into stronger, more resilient operating environments.
His current research interests include third-party risk, supply-chain security and the role of human decision-making in cyber security outcomes.
Olly will examine four real-world third-party compromise case studies from the UK, exploring how organisations were affected and what these incidents tell us about resilience beyond traditional security controls.
Rather than looking only at how an attacker gained access, the session will consider the wider organisational consequences — including dependencies, supply-chain exposure, decision-making and the ability to continue operating when a trusted third party is compromised.
Olly will also draw out practical lessons for New Zealand organisations, including steps they can take to better understand third-party dependencies, strengthen assurance and improve resilience when something goes wrong outside their direct control.
Founder, Mindshift
Melonie Cole founded Mindshift to transform the way organisations think about security training and awareness. Recognised for her practical and engaging approach, she is a trusted voice on influencing human behaviour to create more secure and resilient workplaces.

Who needs what? Designing cybersecurity training for high-risk roles.
Can you demonstrate that your cybersecurity training has actually changed behaviour — or only that it was completed?
In this interactive 30-minute workshop, Melonie will explore why one-size-fits-all cybersecurity training falls short, particularly for people working in higher-risk roles.
Putting yourself in the shoes of the learner, you’ll sketch out a training approach for a high-risk role and consider what that person genuinely needs to know, understand and do differently.
You’ll leave with practical ideas for moving beyond the compliance checkbox and designing role-based cybersecurity training that better reflects real risks and responsibilities.
We have more speakers, practitioners and sessions to announce over the coming weeks.
