| This presentation will explore the emerging trend of “always on” and the impact to business and tech. The phenomenon described as the culture of “always on” was illuminated in the post-pandemic business environment in which employees are expected to be continuously connected and responsive. This presentation delves into the findings from my recent study, highlighting how this culture, intensified by remote work and technology, leads to disrupted work-life balance, emotional exhaustion, and burnout. Research participants described shifting expectations, unbalanced workloads, and insufficient support, as eroding engagement and affecting the employee experience of work. This presentation aims to equip leaders with awareness, skills, and the qualities necessary to navigate and mitigate the negative impacts of the "always on" culture. |
