ABOUT OUR CHAPTER

Welcome to the Austin Chapter of ISACA®! The Austin Chapter aims to sponsor local educational programs, seminars, and workshops; conduct regular chapter meetings, and further promote and elevate the visibility of the information systems audit, control, and security profession.

ISACA® (previously the Information Systems Audit and Control Association) is a global association helping individuals and enterprises achieve the positive potential of technology. ISACA® leverages the expertise of professionals in information and cybersecurity, governance, assurance, risk and innovation, as well as its enterprise performance subsidiary, CMMI® Institute, to help advance innovation through technology. The association currently focuses on assurance, security, risk, and governance, providing globally recognized certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk Information Systems Control), and Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT).


The association is comprised of individual members, who often are sole practitioners of information systems auditing, security, risk management, and/or governance in their respective organizations. The membership of ISACA reflects a multiplicity of backgrounds and skills that make the field challenging and dynamic. Its 130,000+ members in over 180 countries, consisting of over 215 local chapters with 4 in Texas. 

This Chapter is run by volunteers who are ISACA members nominated through ISACA Annual General Meeting (AGM). ISACA members' participation in running the chapter are highly encouraged.
