Chapter Events - Cancellation Policy

Effective: August 2025  (v2.1)

We understand that plans can change. To provide clarity and fairness to both our members and the Chapter, we’ve outlined our cancellation policy below:

  1. Cancellation Timeframe

    • In person events chargeable, such as a Conference, Members’ Meeting: Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the event will receive a full refund, less than 14 days, then no refund will be provided, as we usually have to confirm numbers with the venue 14 days prior to the event.
    • In person events non-chargeable, such as a Conference, Members’ Meeting: Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the event, the Chapter reserves the right to charge the per-delegate cost payable to the venue.
    • Training courses, in person: full refund up to 14 days prior to the first day of the course. Less than 14 days, then a 100% cancellation charge is applied.
    • Training courses, virtual: full refund up to 7 days prior to the first day of the course. Less than 7 days, then a 100% cancellation charge is applied.
    • Webinars, cancellation charges will not apply.
  2. No-Shows

    Failure to attend a scheduled event without prior notice will be considered a no-show and may result in a 100% charge of the booking fee.
  3. How to Cancel

    To cancel, please contact us via:
    • Email: mhughes@isaca-central.org.uk
    • Online: if booking is via Eventbrite, then please use the cancel ticket facility within Eventbrite
      Please include your name, order or booking number, and reason for cancellation if applicable.
  4. Exceptions

    We recognise that emergencies happen. In cases of illness, emergencies, or unforeseen events, please reach out to us directly. We may offer a partial refund or rescheduling at the Chapter’s Board’s discretion, on a case by case basis.
