Dear Members,

The ISACA Auckland Chapter is pleased to announce our next lunchtime event, to be held virtually on 19 September 2023, at 12PM

Topic

Emotional Intelligence in Effective Risk Communication

Emotional intelligence is a critical factor in effective communication, particularly in the context of risk communication. The presentation will explore the integration of emotional intelligence in risk communication and its impact on building trust, understanding, and stakeholder engagement. This will also highlight the challenges in risk communication and the strategy of using emotional intelligence to address the issue.

By incorporating emotional intelligence, organisations can effectively address potential risks transparently and responsibly, build trust with stakeholders, and promote decision-making processes. Also by displaying excellent oral communication, persuasion skills, active listening and open-mindedness, you show that you can correspond well with both your colleagues and stakeholders.

Along the way, the audience will get familiar with the importance and ways to incorporate emotional intelligence in addressing potential risks, build trust with stakeholders, and promote decision-making processes.

Please join me as I will be presenting a couple of case studies and I will offer my guidance based on my experience in real professional space and examples where emotional intelligence was successfully integrated in the risk communication efforts.
