July 2022 Mark Pacat  Introduction Summary to PCI-DSS v4.0

The PCI Security Standards Council has released a new version of its Data Security Standard, the development of which was driven by 6,000 pieces of industry feedback from over 200 participating organisations. The document is a major release which means significant changes have been introduced from its predecessor.

The goal of this latest revision was primarily to bring the requirements up to speed with today’s modern threats. Security practices must evolve as threats change . But for your organisation, what does this actually mean? How does this affect you and your compliance obligations? What needs to be done to prepare for the change?

In this lunchtime event, Mark Pacat will attempt to address questions that have been lingering in your minds in an easily digestible session created for businesses, security professionals, risk professionals and internal/external auditors.

10 August 2022 Tony Arnold Worldwide security incidents / attacks and how to think about them in relation to your organisation's approach to cyber In this session Tony Arnold will cover key cyber security concepts, deep dive into both local and global security incidents, provide some key areas to focus on for your own organisation and discuss where cyber risk may be heading in the future. There will be ample time for questions, so please come prepared to ask anything you would like in relation to cyber, as we know from previous sessions with Tony this adds a lot of value for everyone attending.
September 2022 Stephen Philips Presentation Topic: With software supply chain threat escalating, is it time to be more proactive in controls that reduce our attack surfaces? In this session Stephen Phillips will cover key research insights and unpack a few key software supply chain incidents and discuss strategies organisations can take to mitigate risk.

With industry 4.0 and the emerging technologies coming along, what are the challenges faced by auditors as well as auditees? This session attempts to highlight realistic pain points experienced and propose practical approaches to overcome these challenges.

In this session, Jenny will also present what constitutes sustainability assurance framework and how remediating some of the auditing challenges can contribute our part in sustainability assurance framework for your respective organisations.

This talk will cover the basics of Microsoft Purview, its many components from a high level, deepening into its Information protection capabilities.
