What's new in ISO/IEC 27002:2022 and why does it matter?
The newest version of ISO/IEC 27002: 2022 was released on February 26, 2022. The standard went from 114 controls to 93 with 11 new controls that did not exist in previous versions. In addition, the name of the standard has been changed. Instead of “Information technology – Security techniques – Code of practice for information security controls”, the name is now “Information security, Cybersecurity and privacy protection – Information security controls”.
