Architecting Cyber Excellence: From Reactive to Strategic Security

What do great cybersecurity programs look like?

Leading cybersecurity programs that can defend against today's threat landscape requires deploying and operating advanced tooling, attracting top talent, implementing standards that can scale and developing your own personal reputation and brand.

From staying on top of the latest technologies to protect critical systems, to developing partnerships that you can rely on when you need it most, in this talk, I’ll be sharing the evolution of cybersecurity programs from constantly putting out fires, building a foundation, managing your foundation, then building strategically, to defend against advanced threats attacking your most sensitive systems, helping you grow your cybersecurity program from fighting fires, to building strategically.

Speaker: Josh Danielson, CEO, Kustos

Data Breach Remediation: Lessons Learned

Now that your financial institution is hacked and under sanctions by regulatory agencies, you are being hounded by Customers, Board, Press, and Regulators by the minute. How do you manage the remediation as a CISO/CIO? Among all the chaos, what are the key steps to establish culture change and a governance model while everyone is demanding quick action? Next, comes the enforcement actions from the regulatory agencies. What are the necessary turnaround steps and strategies? This session provides a real-world, insider perspective amidst a dreadful situation.

Speaker: Eddie Ho, Financial Institution CISO/CIO

Security Metrics Is Easy – Audience Reaction Is the Hard Part

During this session, we will discuss the basic steps of starting and implementing a security metrics program, the difference between metrics and other statistics based reporting that we tend to use, but still valuable. We will talk about the audience of metrics and challenges once you start. Already have a security metrics program, would like to mature it, we will cover that also.

Speaker: Jim McConnell, Principal – Ask McConnell, LLC – A Converged Security Services Provider
