The Vancouver Chapter of ISACA is excited to host an online session for young audiences: 'Safe Surf' is set to go live Monday, November 30th 4:30 pm PST. Safe Surf promises to be an engaging session for students aimed at spreading greater security awareness around online social networking. We live in a digital world and as students are becoming more tech-savvy, Internet and Social networking safety for kids is a daunting task. It is become a necessity to educate young minds on social media safety practices.

We are excited to have Ritu Gill as our Keynote. Ritu is an active member of the open-source intelligence community. Ritu has 13 years of experience working with Canadian law enforcement, 12 of those years were with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). During her tenure with the RCMP, she travelled overseas to Bangladesh and India to train law enforcement officers in the use of the internet as an investigative tool.

Ritu hold’s a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from Kwantlen Polytechnic University and is a member of the OSINT Curious Advisory Board. https://osintcurio.us/about-our-project
