Technical Overview of a Sustainable AI Environment – Key Components and Decision-Making

Techniques for Safely Using AI – Examples of Features That Can Be Built In-House

  • By the end of this session, participants will be able to identify and describe key AI features that can be developed internally to safely harness AI.

Real-World Use Cases: AI and Delivery Techniques – Combining AI with Assessment Automation

  • Upon completion, attendees will be able to examine how AI can be combined with traditional assessment methods to automate and improve risk evaluations.

Join us for an engaging discussion on the Data Security and Governance Impacts of AI.

We are pleased to introduce our panel moderated by Xiaochen Zhang with Sandeep MairaWendy Betts CISSP, CCSP, and Rahul Maheshwary

Xiaochen Zhang is the Executive Director & Chief AI Officer of AI 2030, where he drives initiatives to harness AI's transformative power for the benefit of humanity while mitigating its potential risks. As CEO of FinTech4Good, he leads a global network that collaborates with startups, corporations, and investors to create, scale, and invest in sustainable and inclusive ventures.

As the former Global Head of Innovation & Go-To-Market at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Xiaochen led teams in pioneering Cloud Computing, AI, and Web3 innovations for public sector financial institutions. His leadership resulted in the successful implementation of cutting-edge solutions that advanced financial inclusion, digital transformation, and sustainability.

Over the past 20 years, Xiaochen has excelled as a technology leader, go-to-market strategist, and impact investor. He has successfully launched new offerings, entered global markets, and built impactful collaborations with leading organizations like the United Nations, World Bank Group and other impact organizations. His work has empowered the public and private sectors to build data-driven, technology-enabled, and human-centered economies that, are just, inclusive, and sustainable for the future.

Sandeep Maira is adept at innovation, artificial intelligence, risk management, product development, and driving business transformation. Sandeep is currently the Managing Director for Data and AI at Accenture. He has extensive experience leading advanced technology transformations at firms such as JP Morgan, BNY Mellon, and Options Clearing Corporation, specializing in analytics, data, cloud, and risk management. At BNY Mellon, he was head of risk, compliance, and regulatory reporting technology. At JP Morgan he led risk, securities and derivatives technology functions for various businesses.

He founded a firm, Raven Risk AI,  that developed the first advanced AI solution for corporate credit underwriting and risk management, leveraging advanced machine learning techniques. The AI framework is applicable to a number of use cases outside of credit. He is a frequent speaker at conferences, podcasts and universities on corporate strategies to leverage AI. He helped develop the first banking crypto asset initiative and executed the first digital currency pilot with the US Treasury.

He is on the advisory boards of multiple professional organizations, including the Center for Financial Professionals (CeFPro), the AI 2030 Initiative, and the Chicago Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). He has a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Computer Science from Cornell University.

Wendy Betts is the Information Security Officer at Rotary International, where she leads the cybersecurity department, overseeing cyber defense, cyber operations, and the deployment of strategic technology. She also serves as a Board Director at Cardio Diagnostics Inc. (NASDAQ: CDIO), where she chairs the Governance and Nominating Committee and is a member of the Audit Committee.

Previously, Wendy was the Director of Cybersecurity Strategy at United Airlines, where she managed strategic initiatives for the cybersecurity program. Prior to that, she served as the Senior Risk Manager at Bank of America, overseeing second-line cybersecurity defense, including the Security Operations Center (SOC), malware, DDoS, and cloud security. She also held the role of Vulnerability Manager at Northern Trust, where she developed the Secure SDLC program and implemented DevSecOps methodologies across the application development environment.

An active member of the technology community, Wendy is involved with the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS), and Chief, a private network for women in leadership.

Wendy holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and Keller Graduate School of Management. She is also a Director of the Luminarts Cultural Foundation, which supports young artists through competitive programs offering financial awards, artistic opportunities, and mentorship to bridge the gap between education and professional careers.

Rahul Maheshwary is a seasoned technology leader with over 20 years of management consulting experience, renowned for driving digital transformation and fostering innovation. His diverse background includes leading enterprise-scale initiatives for Motorola Solutions, Citi Bank, Navistar, and  Walgreens—positioning him as a trusted advisor in bridging technology with strategic business objectives.

As CIO at Zorch—a private equity-owned branded merchandise company—Rahul has spent five years transforming the company’s technology landscape. He built a high-performing IT  organization from the ground up, establishing dedicated engineering teams, modernizing infrastructure, and elevating a multi-tenant e-commerce ecosystem. His leadership in digital transformation is evidenced by the successful migration to cloud-based solutions, the implementation of a new ERP system, the rollout of AI initiatives, and the development of strategic vendor relationships. These accomplishments have not only reduced costs and enhanced operational efficiency but have also laid the groundwork for scalable, secure, and innovative business processes.
