  • ISACA Illini Chapter - Voting is Now Open: ISACA Governance & Bylaws Update

    ISACA Illini Chapter Members,

    The Illini Chapter Board would like to encourage each member to vote in the 2026 ISACA Governance & Bylaws Update. 

    "Board Terms" shifting from an annual term to a three-year term, offering better continuity on the board. 

    "Quorum Requirement" currently stands at 5% to be voted down to 4% of the total membership necessary for a Quorum to accept a vote.  As ISACA membership has grown, it has become more difficult to obtain the level of participation necessary to hit the 5% of the total membership.

    ISACA | VOTE 2026

    Voting is now open on ISACA’s proposed Governance & Bylaws Updates.

    Eligible members—professional members in good standing as of the record date of 14 September 2026—are asked to vote on three proposed governance updates:

    • Board Terms: Extend terms from one year to three years, and stagger them so no more than one-third of the board rotates off at once. This maintains continuity while allowing for new voices. The nine-year maximum term limit remains unchanged.
    • Quorum Requirement: Modify quorum from 5% to 4% to reflect ISACA’s rapidly growing membership and facilitate members’ ability to make their voices heard
    • Redomestication Change ISACA’s legal jurisdiction from California to Washington, DC in alignment with its governance structure that is purpose-built for large global professional associations. ISACA’s physical office locations remain the same.

    Voting Window

    The voting window is 21 September 2026 through 30 October 2026.

    Take time to understand the proposals, make an informed decision, and make your voice heard. With ISACA’s current 5% quorum requirement, a total of 9,217 votes must be cast for a valid vote.

    The voting link takes you to the ISACA log-in screen for single sign-on. Once logged in, you will be directed to a secure third-party site to cast your ballot.

  • Calling All Volunteers!

    The Illini Chapter Programming Committee values your input and skills as we continue to plan events for 2026. We are seeking volunteers to help with one or more of the following:

    • Providing input to chapter event topics
    • Identifying speakers and coordinating events
    • Increasing member engagement by managing social media channels, including LinkedIn

    CPEs will be offered by the chapter for your time volunteering.
