Topic Synopsis: 
Even with the best in class security infrastructure and controls in the world along with the most comprehensive and stringent policies, it is impossible to eliminate the risk of an attack. In this regard, Jayaraj will provide a strategic overview of Systemic Nature of Cyber Risk and a Financial Services perspective on Cyber Resilience.  He will also touch base on how Cyber Crisis Management plays a crucial role in the overall Operational Resilience of an organisation.

Jayaraj Puthanveedu is currently working with BNP Paribas Group as Managing Director for Cyber & Technology RISK and Global head for Operational Resilience & Crisis Management.  In this role, Jayaraj is responsible for Second Line of Defense oversight for Group Cyber Resilience (including Cyber Detection, Cyber Fraud), IT Resilience, Business Continuity/ITDR and Crisis Management.
Jayaraj has more than two decades of global industry experience in Operational Risk, Information/Cyber Security, Technology Risk, Operational Resilience, Crisis Management, Fraud Risk and Systems Audit.  Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Jayaraj was with Deutsche Bank and held several roles including Global Operational Resilience coverage for Technology and Operations, APAC Director for Information & Resilience Risk, Regional Head of Business Continuity/Crisis Management & Transaction Processing Risk. He started in Deutsche Bank as the Head of Group Operational Risk, Security, Anti-Fraud and Internal Vigilance for South Asia.
In the past, Jayaraj has held several leadership and technical roles in large organizations such as Goldman Sachs, Northern Trust. etc. He has co-authored the World Economic Forum’s white paper on Systemic Nature of Cyber Risk.
