RESCHEDULED - January 22, 2019
Description
ISACA Victoria is pleased to present Kyle Loree as he discusses the hot topic of Culture and things you should know about passwords.
Overview:
Our organizations all face the same challenges of constant threats, constant noise and constant change. With this unceasing stress, we fall back to our default behaviour: our culture. When working with culture in our organizations, we need to consider many different aspects and pursue change while respecting the history that created the environment. All throughout this narrative, we have changes to authentication and the way we think about securing our "identity". With both NIST and Microsoft pushing biometrics and MFA, what can we do to secure our networks while/before we implement these new technologies?
BIO:
Kyle is the Director, Business Systems and Solutions at Consumer Protection BC. He spends his time learning about technology, people, business and enjoying Victoria with his young family. He earned his Master of Science in early 2019 and studies business strategy in his spare time. When not doing all that, he is on the board for CIPS BC, the program committee for the Canadian Internet Governance Forum and on the Advisory Cabinet for OurPlace Society.
