ISACA’s top priority has always been its members and their well-being. In response to the necessary social distancing being encouraged around the world, ISACA is ensuring individuals can continue to take exams needed for career advancement by soon offering a live, remote-proctoring option for the CISA, CISM, CGEIT, and CRISC certification exams.
Details
- The remote-proctoring option is expected to be available in mid- to late April.
- Remote-proctored exams will allow CISA/CISM/CGEIT/CRISC registrants to take any of these exams from home.
- After remote proctoring is live, ALL exam registrants will have the option to choose an in-person test center (if/when available), or a remote-proctored exam.
- If an individual is currently scheduled to take an exam at an in-person test center but wishes to change to a remote-proctored exam, he/she will need to cancel the scheduled in-person exam and reschedule once the remote-proctoring option becomes available. No cost will be associated with this type of a cancel/reschedule.
Of Note
- Extensions to the 365-day eligibility period are being granted to candidates who have been impacted by the closure of testing centers. Should an individual require an extension, he/she should contact the ISACA Customer Support Team (https://support.isaca.org) to request such.
- At this time, no changes are being made to the cost associated with taking an exam (i.e., in-person exams cost the same as remote-proctored exams).
- ISACA will assess if the remote-proctoring option will be made available on a permanent basis; for the time being, this should be considered a temporary option/solution.
- Provided a local exam center is open, those who wish to take an exam in-person can still do so.
