  • Interested in Volunteering with ISACA Illini?

Our ISACA Illini Chapter is looking for volunteers to help with the tasks listed below. Each volunteer can earn up to ten free CPEs per year from ISACA International so please take a moment to see if there is an opportunity that fits your interests and skillset.

    • Chapter Event Programming: This team is responsible for selecting presentation topics and speakers for each of our upcoming learning events. It requires a commitment of less than one hour per month attending meetings and a small additional time commitment outside of those meetings to follow up on assigned tasks. Work is typically heavy over the summer and lightens as the year’s agenda fills in. (Since this opportunity holds one of the largest time commitments, each program committee member can attend all chapter events for free in addition to the CPEs they will earn for volunteering.)
    • Collegiate Engagement: This position will partner with ISACA International to find ways to reach out to our local colleges and to help promote ISACA within that student base. They’ll also assist with the Bradley Benson memorial scholarship at ISU.
    • Website Maintenance: We’re seeking help to give our ISACA Illini Engage site a facelift and maintain it as we move forward. (Note: This site sits on top of ISACA’s site framework that doesn’t require coding skills, just a willingness to complete the training.)
    • New Member Engagement: For this opportunity, a member of the Board will run a monthly report identifying any new members that have recently joined the chapter. The person selected would greet the new members with a welcome email, context about the opportunities available to them through our chapter, and share an already prepared slide deck. (Less than 30 minutes per month.)
    • Certification Celebration: For this opportunity, a member of the Board will run a monthly report identifying any member who recently passed a certification exam. The person selected would congratulate the new certification holder and share a small celebratory gift with them.

If you would like to be considered for any of these opportunities, please send an email to president@isaca-illini.org. Include a brief write-up about yourself, your credentials, the position you are interested in, and why it appeals to you.

    Thanks!
