July 2022 Mark Pacat  Introduction Summary to PCI-DSS v4.0

The PCI Security Standards Council has released a new version of its Data Security Standard, the development of which was driven by 6,000 pieces of industry feedback from over 200 participating organisations. The document is a major release which means significant changes have been introduced from its predecessor.

The goal of this latest revision was primarily to bring the requirements up to speed with today’s modern threats. Security practices must evolve as threats change .
