The numbers of threats, risk scenarios and vulnerabilities have grown exponentially. Cybersecurity has evolved as a new field of interest, gaining political and societal attention. Given this magnitude, the future tasks and responsibilities associated with cybersecurity are essential to organisational survival and profitability. Mr Davison, examined key methodologies to provide an augmented view of how a well-defined threat modelling strategy can define risk and the required controls to protect high value business assets.
Dr Michele Tufigno is an associate at Gatt Tufigno Gauci Advocates, during the seminar, Dr Tufigno provided an introduction to the fundamental principles of GDPR as well as added focused on matters of security, integrity and the role of the controller, the processor and the Data Protection Officer within organizations and entities regularly processing personal data within the Maltese and wider European context. ____________________________
Giannella Borg Webmaster, Communications and Marketing Coordinator and Matthew Ward - Academic Relations Coordinator, attended the ISACA European Leadership Conference in Edinburgh, between May 26th and 27th. The main theme of the conference revolved around how the various European ISACA chapters can provide better value to their members. One of the focus areas tackled the provision of courses & training to members at heavily discounted prices. ISACA HQ are also currently working hard to meet GDPR requirements.____________________________
