Description:

ISACA is seeking volunteers to participate in virtual, one hour interviews to better understand how/if AI is converging traditional risk, audit, security, and governance functions, to guide ISACA’s professional education and thought leadership.​ 

 

Anticipated outcomes:

  • Each participant will take part in a 45–60 minute 1:1 virtual Teams interview between the weeks of Dec 1-15 at a time of your choosing
  • Interviews will be recorded for research purposes only; participants must consent to recording and to have responses used confidentially and anonymized in study findings 

  Volunteer feedback will help ISACA to:

  • Examine real-world breakdowns where AI exposed governance or oversight gaps
  • Identify new cross-functional roles, competencies, and accountability models emerging as a result
  • Provide actionable insights to guide ISACA’s professional education and thought leadership.​ 

 

Volunteer Criteria: 

  •  ISACA membership required
  • ISACA certification not required
  • Global representation preferred
  • Candidates must demonstrate full professional proficiency in English
  • Comfortable speaking candidly in a confidential recorded discussion.
  • Representation across industries preferred (finance, tech, healthcare, government, etc.).
  • Volunteers must agree to be contacted via email by SA Market Insights, our contracted research vendor, for purposes of scheduling the interview.
  • Seeking 15 individual participants from each category (30 total). See participant categories below.  

Participant Categories:   

Ideal candidate — Executives (15 participants)

  • C-suite or equivalent: Chief Audit Executive, Chief Information Security Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Chief Privacy Officer, or equivalent.
  • Responsible for enterprise-level strategy, policy, or resource allocation for audit, risk, security, privacy, or AI governance.
  • Can speak to organizational-level impacts of AI, shifts in responsibilities, and governance tensions.
  • Preferably several years in current senior role (3+ years) with cross-functional decision-making exposure.
  • Practitioner/enterprise leaders preferred (not vendors/consultants). 

 Ideal candidate — Department/Business Unit Leaders (15 participants)

  • Senior managers/directors: Senior Auditor, IS & Risk Director, Internal Control Director, AI Governance Leader, Privacy Leader, or equivalent.
  • Day-to-day ownership of audit, controls, risk, security, privacy or operational AI governance and implementation.
  • Has concrete examples of adapting processes, training, or controls because of AI and can discuss early warning signs or breakdowns.
  • Typically 2–5+ years in a leadership role, active in cross-functional coordination.
  • Practitioner/enterprise leaders preferred (not vendors/consultants). 

 

Volunteers will be selected on a rolling basis until all spots are filled. Not all who apply will be selected.
